Music, the noblest of the arts according to Jorge Luis Borges, was present in his work from the very beginning and also influenced it. Tango is, without a doubt, the genre with which he engaged most deeply. The most extraordinary result of these interactions is, unquestionably, the album El Tango, which includes three milongas, three tangos, and a suite with lyrics by Borges, music by Astor Piazzolla, and vocals by Edmundo Rivero.
This performance by the group “…Y su Orquesta quartette” will feature some of these milongas, as well as others set to music by Aníbal Troilo, Carlos Guastavino, and Eladia Blázquez.
