→ Borges Immersion
This literary and idiomatic workshop is co-organized with the Université Populaire du Canton de Genève, where the native Spanish-speaking community is integrated in a very natural way with the students of the Spanish language.
This activity is intended both for people who have not read it or who have started to read it but have not gone deeper into it, and for those who want to continue discovering the pleasures of its literature.
The objective is to offer these readers four lines of interpretation that do not exhaust all possible readings. Rather, they are small tools that can help open up the texts to the reader to interest and stimulate him or her to continue reading and exploring.
Likewise, the proposal aims to attract non-native Spanish speakers to literature who want to improve their knowledge of the language, as well as to learn about Argentine culture in particular and Latin American culture in general.
Tuesdays, from March 18 to June 24, 2025.
Minimum Spanish level: B2

On the 39th anniversary of the death of Jorge Luis Borges, Los conjurados gather at the Cemetery of the Kings, in Plainpalais, to pay him a small and intimate tribute.
We want to collect 39 roses to leave on his grave (one for each anniversary). We invite everyone who wants to participate in this tribute to bring their own flower. We will read some poems and then everyone will leave their offering.
