
General Coordinator
MARCOS LIYO
Born in the city of Neuquén (Argentina) in 1980, he studied Communication Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires, graduating with a thesis on the writer Gregorio Álvarez. He devoted himself to the study of the life and work of the Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges and the “Mimetic Theory” of the French thinker René Girard.
He has been a permanent collaborator of the Borges Festival of Argentina since its inception in 2021. He has given workshops, seminars and conferences in different institutions in Argentina, Italy and Switzerland. Since its foundation in 2023, he has been the president the Swiss association Los conjurados; becoming in 2025 the General Coordinator.

CECILIA CARDOSO RODRÍGUEZ
Born in Paris (France) in 1983, she studied at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Bourges, and worked as an editor and director for several associative media (Anonymal TV, Tabasco Vidéo). Between 2014 and 2019, she directed the Visual Arts and Film Workshops at the María Élida Marquizo Cultural Center (Uruguay). Since 2016, she directed, produced and co-programmed the International Film Festival Un Mes Corto (Uruguay) and was appointed Cultural Director of the Alliance Française de Rocha, a position she held until 2022. Since 2023, she has been working as a producer for various Swiss cultural organizations, such as Écran Mobile (film production company), Everybody’s Perfect (international queer film festival in Geneva), Super Trop Top (theater company) and Festival Filmar in Latin America.

MARIE CLAIRE PEYTRIGNET
Born in Lima (Peru) in 1987, she holds a degree in Political Science and a Masters and PhD in Demography from the University of Geneva. After working for several years in academia as a researcher in public health, particularly in sexual and reproductive health, Marie Claire turned her career towards areas closer to the field, training in project management and fundraising, again in the field of social sciences. She has worked for many years in the field of social integration and development, in the private, public and voluntary sectors. She currently works part-time in international cooperation for the NGO E-CHANGER, as program manager for Bolivia and Brazil.

MARTIN HADIS
Born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 1970, he is a writer, researcher and university professor. He received his PhD in Humanities from Pompeu Fabra University. His thesis on the creation of mythologies in the works of Jorge Luis Borges and J.R.R. Tolkien received the grade of outstanding cum laude (Barcelona, 2024). He studied medieval Germanic literatures (Old English and Old Norse) and mythology and folklore at Harvard University. He also studied the Icelandic sagas and their influence on J.R.R. Tolkien’s work at Signum University and studied Finnish mythology with Professor Tuula Lindstrom. He graduated with a Master of Arts in Applied Anthropology from the University of North Texas and a Master of Science in Media Technology from the Media Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T). He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Systems in 1993 at CAECE University (Buenos Aires, 1993) and in parallel studied linguistics and English literature. His interest in linguistics has led him to study numerous languages (and their respective literatures), among others: English, French, German, Japanese, Finnish, Latin, Greek, Welsh, Old English and Old Norse.
