BORGES UNIVERSAL

Meeting with Annick Louis

Sunday, June 14, 2026 – 6:00 PM

Maison Rousseau et Littérature

Jorge Luis Borges was a key figure in literature between the 1940s and 1960s, a period during which he wrote his most dazzling texts, deeply influencing numerous authors and literary movements.

However, he achieved international recognition only later in life. Initially little acknowledged in his own country and later increasingly admired abroad, Borges gradually won over readers around the world. Today he is considered one of the four great authors of the 20th century.

In this lecture, Annick Louis will discuss the elements of his literature that fascinate intellectuals and captivate the general public, delving into the legacy he left to other writers.
